This cookie policy is short because the list is short. fortunica-casinos.uk.com keeps one local storage entry of its own in your browser, and Cloudflare may set a security cookie. Analytics, advertising and social media cookies are not used on this website at all.
What cookies and local storage are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to keep and send back with later requests, so the site can recognise a returning browser. A session cookie disappears when you close the browser; a persistent cookie stays until it expires or you delete it.
Local storage does a similar job in a different way. The entry never leaves your browser with a request, and only the website’s own code, running on your device, reads it. It has no expiry date and stays until you clear it. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) treat cookies and local storage alike, since both store information on your device.
What this website stores
| Name | Type and who sets it | Purpose | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| kx_cookie_ok | Local storage, set by this website | Remembers your response to the cookie notice so it is not shown again | Persistent, until you clear your browser’s site data |
| __cf_bm | Cookie, set by Cloudflare | Bot management: helps Cloudflare tell people from automated traffic | 30 minutes |
| Google Fonts | No cookie; your browser requests font files from Google | Displays text in the website’s typefaces | Nothing stored by Google on your device; Google receives your IP address |
Apart from kx_cookie_ok, the website’s own code sets nothing. That entry holds no identifier and is never sent to our server. Cloudflare, which shields the website from automated attacks, may now and then set another strictly necessary security cookie of the same kind, for example after a browser check. How data is handled, including transfers outside the UK, is explained in our reader privacy statement.
Why there is no consent request
PECR requires a website to ask for your consent before it stores or reads information on your device, except where the storage is strictly necessary for a service you have asked for. Remembering your answer to the cookie notice and keeping bots off the website both fall within that exemption, and neither item does any analytics or advertising work. Should we ever add storage that is not strictly necessary, it will stay off until you agree, and this page will be updated before it goes live.
Cookies on sites you visit from here
Links on our pages lead to Fortunica’s website and to support organisations. Click one and you have left this website; the site you land on may set cookies of its own, analytics and advertising ones included, under its own cookie and privacy policies. Those cookies are out of our reach. We cannot see, change or delete them, so look for that site’s cookie policy (usually linked in its footer) and use its settings to accept or refuse them.
Fortunica is not licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, so UK protections such as GAMSTOP do not apply. If you have registered with GAMSTOP, please don’t use this or any other gambling site.
How to view, delete or block storage
All the major browsers let you delete cookies and local storage, for every site or for just one. Pick the option that mentions cookies and site data; clearing cached images and files on its own leaves both untouched. On Windows, Ctrl+Shift+Delete opens the clearing window in Chrome, Edge and Firefox, and on a Mac the shortcut is Cmd+Shift+Delete. Menu names shift a little from one browser version to the next.
Google Chrome
Open Settings, choose Privacy and security, then Delete browsing data, and tick “Cookies and other site data”. To remove only this website’s data, open Privacy and security, then Site settings, then “View permissions and data stored across sites”, find fortunica-casinos.uk.com and delete it.
Safari
On a Mac, choose Safari, then Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data; search for the site and click Remove. On an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, then Safari (listed under Apps on recent versions), then Advanced, then Website Data.
Mozilla Firefox
In Settings, go to Privacy & Security and find Cookies and Site Data. Clear Data removes everything, while Manage Data lets you search for this website and remove only its entries.
Microsoft Edge
Under Settings, open Privacy, search, and services, select Clear browsing data and tick “Cookies and other site data”. For a single website, open Cookies and site permissions, then “Manage and delete cookies and site data”, then “See all cookies and site data”.
If you block everything
The same settings can block cookies and site data altogether. The website keeps working, though the cookie notice will come back on every visit and Cloudflare’s protection may not behave as intended in your browser. A private or incognito window clears both items when you close it. Stopping the font request to Google takes a content blocker that blocks fonts.googleapis.com, after which text appears in your browser’s default font.
Changes and contact
This version of the policy took effect on the date shown above. It applies together with the Fortunica UK review terms and conditions, and every guide we publish is listed in the Fortunica Casino UK index. Cookie questions can go to [email protected]. If we have not resolved a concern about how cookies are used, you can take it to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
