People in the UK do sign up at Fortunica. The casino runs an EN-GB version of its website, accounts can be held in pounds, and complaints and reviews from UK players quote their deposits and winnings in £. Whether the terms allow it is murkier, because one version of Fortunica’s terms puts the United Kingdom on its restricted list and another leaves it off. So before registering, open the restricted-territories clause in the terms you are shown and look for the UK. Under either version, reviewers report that VPNs are banned.
What is known about UK access
- A UK version of the site. Fortunica’s website has an EN-GB locale, and the interface is in English.
- Pounds as an account currency. At least five review sites list GBP next to EUR and AUD.
- UK players with real accounts. UK players’ complaints on Casino Guru and reviews on Trustpilot quote amounts in pounds; some Casino Guru cases were marked resolved after the player sent the requested documents.
- The UK as a target market. The operator’s affiliate programme, C.R.E.A.M. Partners, introduced Fortunica in April 2025 as an “AU/UK casino & betting brand”.
The platform can turn visitors away with messages such as “Registration from your country is not allowed”. Judging by their complaints, UK players get through. Getting through, though, doesn’t settle whether the terms let them play.
Two versions of the terms, two answers
Review sites quote two different sets of terms, each naming a different operating company:
| Terms version | UK listed? | Other restricted countries | Reported by |
|---|---|---|---|
| Winstar N.V., Anjouan licence | Yes | Austria, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, the USA, the Comoros, FATF-blacklisted countries | CorrectCasinos (June 2025), WagerPals (July 2026), CasinoAlpha (September 2026) |
| Aurora Dynamics S.R.L. (Costa Rica) | No | 38 countries, including the USA, France, Italy, Belgium, Malta and Turkey | Casinoslists, SlotsMate (September 2026) |
WagerPals says the operator’s own terms “explicitly restrict access from the United Kingdom”; CorrectCasinos found the same list in the casino’s KYC policy, and the standard text on Anjouan’s licence validator also names the UK as an excluded territory. The Aurora list ends in a “Show more” link, so it may be incomplete, and one reviewer notes that the company details in Fortunica’s footer change by region.
We found no outside source showing which version a UK account gets today, so this page doesn’t pretend to a verdict. The version that binds you is the one you accept at sign-up. The operator names and licence claims are covered in our Fortunica licence and reputation check.
VPN use is prohibited
At least three review sites report that Fortunica’s terms ban VPNs. CasinoAlpha says the terms prohibit VPNs and other IP-masking tools and threaten account closure; NightRush warns that using one “can void all your winnings”; SlotsMate lists the casino as not VPN-friendly.
Trouble, if it comes, tends to come at the cash-out. Copies of the terms in circulation allow only one account per person, household, IP address or shared device, and BonusManiac reports that a breach can lead to confiscation of deposits and winnings. At the first withdrawal, your proof of address can be compared with where you log in from, and a mismatch gives the casino grounds to hold or void a payout under these clauses. One Trustpilot reviewer wrote in February 2026 that the casino questioned his location, citing a VPN, while his balance was “over 5grand”.
The one-account rule can also catch two adults in the same household or on a shared laptop, VPN or not. If you travel, avoid logging in from a restricted country.
What “restricted” means for withdrawals
Here is what a restricted-territory clause means once a withdrawal is on the table:
- Your address is checked. Verification asks for a proof of address issued within the last 3 months, so a UK address goes on file.
- The responsibility is yours. According to BonusManiac, the terms make players responsible for checking that gambling is allowed where they live.
- The regulator may not hear you. Anjouan’s validator text says complaints from players in its excluded territories “will not be entertained”.
- No UK fallback. UK complaint routes cover only operators licensed in Great Britain.
If the terms you are shown list the United Kingdom, the operator has that clause to point to when it refuses a payout, and that alone is reason not to deposit. If you want certainty before you register, ask Fortunica customer support by email whether UK residents are accepted under the current terms, and keep the reply.
The UK legal position in brief
Under the Gambling Act 2005, as amended in 2014, any operator offering gambling to people in Great Britain needs a licence from the UK Gambling Commission, and a licence from another country does not cover Great Britain. Fortunica is not licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, so UK protections such as GAMSTOP do not apply. The Gambling Commission describes the gambling companies, not their customers, as the ones acting illegally. Even so, a player with an unlicensed operator goes without ID checks before play, the £5 stake limit on online slots (£2 for ages 18 to 24), the 10x cap on bonus wagering and UK complaint routes. Take this as a summary rather than legal advice; our guide to UKGC and offshore licences goes into the detail.
Northern Ireland has its own gambling law: GAMSTOP covers the whole UK, GambleAware’s support services are for Great Britain residents only, and people in Northern Ireland can call the National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133.
Checklist before you register from the UK
- Open the terms and find the restricted or prohibited territories clause.
- Note which company the terms and footer name as the operator.
- If the United Kingdom is on the list, stop there.
- Turn off any VPN and log in only from where you live.
- Keep a dated screenshot of the clause you accepted.
- Have UK documents ready: a passport or photocard driving licence, plus a utility bill, council tax bill or bank statement from the last 3 months.
Put deposit and time limits on the account from day one; our page on responsible gambling support in the UK lists the tools and free helplines. A wider look at the casino is in the fortunica-casinos.uk.com overview.
Fortunica Availability FAQ
Is Fortunica available in the UK?
UK players do register and play in pounds on the EN-GB site, but one version of Fortunica’s terms lists the United Kingdom as restricted and another doesn’t. Read the restricted-territories clause before you register, and don’t deposit if the UK is on it.
Can I use a VPN at Fortunica?
No. Reviewers report that the terms prohibit VPNs and other IP-masking tools, with account closure and voided winnings as possible outcomes. The terms also allow one account per person, household, IP address or shared device.
Which countries does Fortunica restrict?
It depends on the terms version. The Winstar N.V. version lists the United Kingdom, the USA, France, Germany, Spain, Austria, the Netherlands and others. The Aurora Dynamics version lists 38 countries, including the USA and France, but not the UK.
Is anything different for players in Northern Ireland?
The same terms apply to the whole UK. Northern Ireland has separate gambling law, GAMSTOP covers all of the UK, and GambleAware’s services are for Great Britain residents. Support in Northern Ireland is available on the National Gambling Helpline, 0808 8020 133.
18+ only. Gambling can be harmful. If you have registered with GAMSTOP, please don’t use this or any other gambling site. You can reach the National Gambling Helpline, run by GamCare, on 0808 8020 133, free of charge and 24 hours a day, and GambleAware (gambleaware.org) has advice and local support services. GAMSTOP (gamstop.co.uk) excludes you from every gambling site licensed in Great Britain with one sign-up. Device blockers such as BetBlocker (free) and Gamban stop gambling sites and apps from loading, and many banks offer a gambling block in their app.
